Sightseeing near Old Bistrilitza Complex includes the Lopusha Monastery and the Klisura Monastery. Worth visiting are also the town of Chiprovtsi well known for the home-woven carpets in traditional style. The small spa resort of Varshets is at 15 km away from the town of Berkovitza. Its mineral water is warm and clean, effective for diseases of the nervous system and cardiovascular systemas well as skin and eye diseases.
The springs of Ogosta river are at 25 km from the village of Bistrilitsa, surrounded by virgin woods. Nearer (3.5 km from the village) you will find one of the largest dams in Bulgaria, Ogosta dam, which has a swimming pool and an entertainment complex with a discotheque.
